Managers should be great at conflict management while Leaders should prevent any conflicts.

Conflict Management is an ongoing process of limiting the negative aspects while increasing the positive aspects of conflicts in an organization. Properly managed conflict can radically improve relationships.

Competing – Using your formal authority or other power that you possess to satisfy your concerns without regard to the concerns of the party that you are in conflict with. It is a win-lose situation and relationship can be damaged & resentment can develop on the part of the loser.
